Immigrants
Immigrant Disaster Relief Information
ImmigrantInfo.org is a website created by
Cristal Verde for the
Santa Clara County Office of Human Relations. I have lived in many different countries and I know
how difficult it can be to get information that everyone assumes is common knowledge - what is legal,
what is acceptable behavior, what is expected, and of course, the language everyone is speaking.
Immigrantinfo.org contains:
- ESL Class Listing: A list of hundreds of ESL currently available classes at more than 100 sites in
Santa Clara County. An interactive data base allows search by location, class level or provider.
Also links to many free on-line resources for ESL students and teachers (lessons, dictionaries,
games, puzzles, etc.)
- Immigrant Rights, Responsibilities & Resources Guidebook (IRRG): Offers valuable information on
the rights and responsibilities of immigrants in the USA and also a resource listing for
Santa Clara County Immigrants. Sections include: Community Building & Civic Action,
Health & Well-Being, Family Support, Legal Issues, Education, and Employment Issues. T
his is available on the site in English, Spanish, Bosnian, Khmer, Chinese, Somali & Tagalog.
The English section was updated in December, 2004.
- Bridging Borders in Silicon Valley - Summit on Immigrant Needs and Contributions:

and needs of immigrants in Santa Clara County in the areas of: Economic Empowerment, Education,
